How to Create Your Frog Files For When You Croak

We all have to get our paperwork in order, but it can be totally overwhelming to know just where to start and what you need to include. This is why we’ve created the “Frog Files” to help people of all ages and stages of life to get organised before they croak!

Frog Files are about a lot more than just writing your will. Your Frog Files will guide you through EVERYTHING you need to do to take away stress and confusion for your family and loved ones, as well as ensuring your wishes are respected so you can “go your own way”!

Pre-Launch – Register Your Interest

Your frog files will take you through the following four areas:

Let’s take a closer look at what’s included.

Pad 1 – FORMALISE your finances and files

Pad 1 of your Frog File is about a lot more than just writing your will, although that is also included. As well as finding and formalising your finances and files, we take you through the medical aspects, such as how to donate your organs or body to science and appointing an Enduring Guardianship.

    Pad 1 includes:

    • How to write your will to ensure it is legally binding
    • Where to store your will (both digitally and traditionally)
    • Appointing an Enduring Guardian to make lifestyle and medical decisions on your behalf
    • Appointing a Power of Attorney to manage your legal and financial affairs
    • How to donate your organs and let your doctor and family know
    • What you need to do if you would like to donate your body to science
    • Funeral pre-arrangement – pre-planning your funeral
    • Funeral insurance – pre-paying for your funeral
    • What will happen to your pets when you die?

Pad 2 – RECORD the rituals you want to have

In Pad 2 you record the relevant rituals you’d like to have at your funeral, memorial service, celebration of life or wake. This is your opportunity to make all the relevant decisions that you need to ensure you can really “go your own way”.

    • Do you want to be buried or cremated
    • Where would you like your funeral or wake to be?
    • What music would you like to be played?
    • Who would you like to be there?
    • Are there certain foods or drinks you’d like served?
    • Who will deliver the eulogies?
    • Are there any particular photos, readings, etc of significance to you?
    • Readings, music, eulogy

Recording your wishes really helps your family to organise your funeral and know they are farewelling you in the way you would want.

Pad 3 – ORGANISE passwords, digital assets and social media

One of the most commonly overlooked but important parts of getting your affairs in order is making sure you provide full access to your passwords, digital assets and social media.

Taking away financial stress and hassle for your next of kin by ensuring you have provided them with passwords, access to and authority to use your bank accounts, ensuring things like the electricity won’t be cut off or that you can cancel subscriptions, etc on their behalf.

    Pad 3 includes:

    • What to include in your list of all your login details and passwords
    • Email and computer logins
    • Photo and video storage
    • Direct debits
    • Reward and loyalty systems
    • Music and TV streaming services
    • Providing access to social media accounts.

Pad 4 – GIVE AWAY your goods to others

This final section is all about creative and meaningful ways to give away or donate the items of sentimental value and great meaning that are not listed in your will.

You will “stocktake” your home, room by room, curating photos, clothes, collections and hobbies and provide clear and concise directives top your family so they can carefully clear your home.

    Completing the Frog Files

As you progress through each pad of your Frog Files, we’ll give you access to everything you need, ensure all your I’s are dotted and your T’s are crossed, hold your hand and keep you accountable.

Once your Frog Files are complete you can relax, knowing your affairs are on order and you will have taken away a lot of the stress from your family at a time when they will be grieving your death.
